It's here! 2011 Calendar, year of the rabbit

In our first collaboration, Pistachio Press and I bring you our Fabulous 2011 Calendar!  It seems like we have been waiting forever to post this.  There has been talk about collaborating for a while now and this seemed like the perfect start.

The calendar is inspired by a trip to the west coast we took over the summer.  We had an awesome time and I think it is reflected in the image.  Did you know it is almost impossible to get a picture of a jack rabbit in the dessert?! 

The size of the calendar is 11x17.5" tall and is hand printed on an antique Vandercook No. 4 letterpress with four hand-mixed inks.  The image is hand drawn with hand written months.  You can see more at our shops:

I feel like the only thing I can draw is dogs right now.  I really don't know what to think of that.  I am obsessed.  In the works: ps with butter and of coarse Chapel No.2.

It was a busy weekend for the dogs.  I think this may have been the first time they actually fell asleep next to each other.  The photos were taken by Jen who was taking a break from cleaning and painting and laundry and art projects. 

Weekend

Squeezing some studio time in before survivor night.  I have a busy weekend of bar tending and am not sure I will post again.  However, be on the look out for Mondays post.  Jake says have fun this weekend!

drawings

I thought making just 10 drawings wouldn't be such a task.  I am wrong.  They feel forced.  I like 3 of them.  I think 2 are done and 2 suck.  There are only five.  I think I am going to run out of time this time around.  Here they are........ dinkus, kong dreams, ps with butter, untitled and untitled.  Can't stand the last 2.

I have been thinking about things to post about all day.  Here we are at 10:15 and I have nothing to share.  I did some work in the studio, worked on some little calendar tid bits with Rachael, and had a jack and ginger with Jake.  Then went home and ate tacos by myself.  Anyways....looking forward to some sun to end this rainy, cold gloomy week.  My apologies for no image, my computer won't upload them.               w t f.........

Happy October

I thought I would start the month off with a pic of Chapel.  She is coming along extremely well and is no longer hiding all her energy.  She is running all over the house with Big G and has become VERY comfortable.  Here she is minus the energy.
