just rambling

I just feel the need to write today.  I have not posted as much as I would like this year so I guess that means not much has been happening.  It has been a weird month, feeling really busy and overwhelmed which is odd.  With what you ask?  I have no idea.  I mean, we still haven't gotten around to doing taxes yet.
I was getting the show together, picked up some more hours at the cabinet shop because the bar tending gig has been slow.  I need to make money, ya know?  More hours working means less at the studio, yada, yada, yada.  Jen and I were looking at a new house and going back and forth about moving (we are not!) and just trying to figure out what my place in the world is.  It sounds really cheesy, but it is the truth.  There has to be more to my life then what I am doing now.
I have been thinking about going back to school, not sure if it will be for a masters or just another degree.  No matter what it will be art related and I think I will find myself back in the rut I am still in.  It makes me wish I hated art.  Nothing is promising.
WE have moved full steam ahead I think on doing a little remodeling of our house.  That started yesterday.  It seems that the basement and attic are going to get it first followed by some tiles downstairs and a bathroom makeover.  The goal is do it in a month.  Good thing the bar tending picked up and now my weekends will be packed with work!  Like I said, I need to make money.
Anyways, please still visit me here because I will try to post more often and things more interesting then this post that probably doesn't make sense!

exhibit

So I know a few weeks ago I plastered a giant "rejected" image on the blog.  I was rejected from the Made in New York show at the Scwhienfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn.  To my surprise, the gallery called me about a week later and asked if I would be interested in submitting work for a solo show.  I said YES!  After a few phone calls and emails, I now have a solo show.  It is pretty awesome.  The best part is, it opens the same time as the Made in NY show.  If anyone is interested in checking the exhibit out, it opens on March 28, 3-5pm.  It closes May 16.  Hooray!

i wish.....

I wish that when I am typing, the theme song from Doogie Howser would begin to play.  I think that would really make my day.  I would feel more accomplished, I don't know why but I think I would.  I have so many projects to work on and have not began any of them.  Maybe this weekend.

I am giving myself a high five, I think I fixed the computer.  Only time will tell I guess.  Andy Samberg is the shit!  I would say have a great weekend, but I may post again before the weekend is over.
