love it

luna

I made a painting of Erin and Dave's dog Luna for their wedding gift.

The painting is framed in an unfinished
poplar frame and hangs in Erin's A-frame
cabin in the Adirondaks.  It is the first piece
I have ever made as a gift to someone.  I
just used the word frame a ridiculous
    amount of times.

june 9th

Our friends Erin and Dave were married in the Adirondaks on June 9th.  Jen was in the bridal party and went up a day before to help out with some last minute crafting.  The wedding was a blast, one of my favorites.  The ceremony took place outside our lodge in a gazebo on the water.  The forecast of rain had disappeared which left the door open for an amazing sunset.  Perfect.  And I danced.

Gazebo, Erin and Dave, shades of green, main lodge, Erin and her bro, Jen and Jim, inside our lodge, and sunset.

graffiti

Jen and I went to Savannah in the beginning of July for the American Art Therapy Conference.  I am not an art therapist, Jen is.  While she was attending lectures, I was taking in the city.  With in a four or five day period I noticed this wall had changed.  It may not be a big deal to some, but I find simple things like this exciting.

the black keys

I bought the album El Camino a few months ago and I can not stop listening to it.  It is one of the best cd's I have listened to lately.  Little Black Submarines is my favorite track.  The cover art is pretty cool too.  It reminds me of Instagram which I am in love with.  If you haven't listened to it yet you are not my friend.  Check it out!

Here is a live version of Little Black Submarines

jimdelucia.com

I can't believe that I am just now writing about this.  My website, jimdelucia.com is live.  It has been live for about a month now.  There is still much to be done but I feel I had to get something out there in computer world.  I used a wix.com template to build it.  Please check it out and let me know what you think.  I am still searching for a misplaced thumb drive so I can upload more work.  This brings me to my latest news............I finally caved in and purchased my own laptop.  Yes, it is a MacBook Pro.  Hopefully this will aid in organizing all my files instead of using thumb drives and the studio computer.  The studio computer is awesome and I really appreciate it but I just don't make it there as often as I would like.  I also upgraded from my droid incredible to the iPhone 4s.  I did this so all my photos upload directly to my computer.  Now if I can only learn how to use them properly..........

screen shot I text to Rachael, I didn't want to be the painter of dogs

wow

This summer has been very busy over here.  If you are thinking I was busy making art, you are wrong. It is a sad reality.  Both of my jobs have taken over.  It was not all work though.  There was a wedding, a trip to Savannah, attic work, Adirondaks, and some dog time.  I have a lot to post about.  They will come in no particular order. Many photos.  Good news.  Upcoming events.  iPhone.  MacBook.  Obsessed with Instagram.  I am really bad at this.  Here is a preview......
