I have a few paintings on display at the University of Rochester's pasSAGE space in the Gleason Library entrance. They will be up for about 9 months. The paintings are a mix of 7 years of work, nothing brand new. I am missing an image of one painting, I will try to find it. I was already told that our studio looks weird with nothing on the walls. Time for new work then.

2 years old
I wanted to post yesterday, but I didn't have any new pics. So here is the birthday post for our dog, the one and only, Gino. Happy Birthday buddy! I snapped a few pics of him, but just a few. He hated the camera. For his birthday, he gained a mate named Chapel. She is our foster and quite possibly the only dog that gets a long with Gino. He adores her. She has brought out a different dog in him. If all goes well, we may adopt her, and the change her name to Snookie. haha Gino "the situation" and his girl Snookie.

building stretchers
I was hired to build three 5'x5' for a fellow painter in the building. I purchased a biscuit joiner and here is how it went down.
I am sorry. Worst. Post. Ever.
Parts on table
Biscuit joiner with biscuits
Cutting slot for biscuit
Staple front and back
Don't forget the glue
All squared up
Finished
I am sorry. Worst. Post. Ever.

Mee Kyung Shim
While walking down India Street in the heart of Little Italy in San Diego, we came across the Mee Shim gallery. This was a great space. Up front was the gallery and in the far right corner a studio and storage space. What amazed me was the artist is the owner of the gallery (or at least rented the space). I thought that was pretty sweet! We checked out the work and were surprised to see Mee Shim working on a commission piece while people wandered through the studio. Jen and I said hello but didn't want to distract her. I wanted to post about her because I thought her work was awesome. I also think that it is great to see an artist support themselves in this way. Here are a few images and a link to her site. Video here.
